GTI headlights on a 6n2

Post by Prabz »

Hey All,

I have a 1.4 6n2 i am purchasing GTI headlights. Is there a guide to get these fitted? Or does anyone here want a couple of drinks for helping me fit these?

Thanks

Really, really easy to do!

The bumper is easy to get on/off - takes me about 5 minutes now and most of that is spent dropping stuff! The hardest bit IMO is either trying to get the headlights out due to the short wire and limited movement, or getting the bumper back on on your own (MUCH easier to two people - one to guide each side).

I can highlight the screws you need to remove if you like? There's about 12, then it just comes off!

Will do it later for you then. :)

You'll only need them if you plan to fit the washers (I think). In terms of getting the lights onto the car - you, I don't think you will. I'll post up a picture of my slam panel/crash bar when I do the other photo so you can compare.

Hey,

Thanks for the advice, i ended up buying a slampanel. But then ended up cutting my exsiting one becuase of the work needed to be done. I now have fitted the lights and they do make a big difference. The only thing i am getting done to them now is cleaning the lens. As they are misted and a little green.

Thanks
