Crash Damage Advice Please

Post by Daveyc »

My partners sister has had a little front end knock in her 9N (I believe - 53 plate round headlights). Namely bonnet, bumper, grill and slam panel/Front Panel.

As it's her first car she would like to get it sorted, and money is tight so I was going to offer to help. Im no mechanic but am capable to doing sensible bits.

The main bit of advice I need is whether the front/slam panel is bolted on or welded.

We have ordered a front panel, headlight and grill new, but were hoping to get a used bonnet and bumper, preferably silver. Although they seem to be non existant. Am I looking in the wrong places or wasting my time?

Thanks for any help.

Hi, if it's a 9n try posting in here - the 9n forums ;)

Try eBay for parts - can't see any bonnets in silver, but found these:

I think there are a few shades of silver, so maybe worth checking that. Also worth ringing round breakers yards - they might have something too offer cheaply. Going to guess bolted, but not sure!
