Electric window not working?

Post by jamesagordon »

So I hooked up my remote wire to one of my fuses (not sure if this is the cause) but my electric windows have been working intermittently. I cannot wind them up or down with the key anymore and currently only the left one automatically goes up, the right one has to be held. Before neither worked then they both did, then neither again and now only the left one. I checked the fuse layout and there doesn't appear to be one distinctly for the electric windows (I know the 6n2 had separate ones for either side) so I didn't know if it was a problem with the fuse but then surely the right one wouldn't work at all.

Anyone else had this issue/know a solution?

I had a similar problem, you have to go round each of the electric windows holding it all the way down and then all the way up to reset, I can't remember the exact sequence but the dealer told me what to do over the phone. I had the same problem where the one press up and down and the key down wouldn't work.

cheers pal! Did a bit of googling and all I had to do was wind it all the way down then click down a few times, then up and click up a few times, reset it and its all working now! :)
