Hi.
I have a 2001 Polo 6N2 1.0 E and the starter motor always sticks when trying to start and takes an eternity to get going. Few garages have quoted £200 for a new part and labour. I don't really want to spend that kind of money so wanted to know how easy it is to do myself as second hand parts are more in my budget. One problem i have come across is actually finding the starter motor on the engine to see if it is doable. I've had a good look from the top and a good look underneath and still can't find it.
Anyone know where it is and know how easy/hard it is to change?
Cheers!

Re: Starter Motor Problem
2 bolts, 2 wires.
Just check to see if one of the bolts attaches an engine mounting. Support the engine on a jack if it does.
Oh, and you're in the wrong section here... This is for mk3s (1990-1993)
