Need to have a clear out of Polo Parts

Post by bstardchild »

OK Polo GTi went last year and I still keep tripping over parts so time to clear some space

MKIV

1 x Cyl Head complete witrh cam and all valves intact - good condition - for MKIV 1.4 CL engine code AEX rest of the engine I weighed in but kept the head as it was handy if the cam belt ever went £40

Image

New find - forgot I had it

MKIV Polo 1.4 Starter motor - fully refurbished to as new by local specialist (complete with the important brass bearing) - cost me £60 to get refurbished £40 ono

was for AEX code engine but may fit other engine codes

Image

MKIV foam boot liner (pics by request) - Free to local Polo owner who can collect

MKIV 1.4 CL Clock set (with alloy rings) Were brand new when purchased and have I think under 3000 miles on them now - can't be 100% sure as I'd need a car to plug them into but it's not many miles for sure £30 ono

Image

MKIV Raceland coilovers - used for about 2 years - removed and cleaned up lubricated the threads ect when I sold my MKIV - didn't fit the MKV £60 ono Sold on another Forum

I appreciate this is picture beforfe fitting but I'll get now picture next time I'm in the garage - springs have lost some paint and the finsih isn't so shiney now but functional and no leaks

Image

Now look like this

Image

Fitting DIY guide I did here http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 10&t=33186

Adjust from stfd ride height to low (actually rides better low - slightly harsh at higher ride heights but I set them up where I wanted them to clear road humps round here)

Image

MKIV or MKV

Winter Alloys as fitted below - 15 inch but no tyres (were proffesionally shot blasted and powderoated in gloss black about 2 years ago - a few very light marks from storage/ tyre removal) £150 ono More pics later in the thread

Before

Image

After

Image

New owner of my GTi wanted the BBS split rims as he already had winter wheels

Image

MkV headlight protector covers - no damage but used £10 (Sold to Nick)

Image

Audi TT?? alloy pedal covers - were fitted to MKV GTi (pics by request) £30 ono - Sold to Seb

I've since found the Part number on the box is 8n1 064 200

Bora New Bettle
Golf 98 > 03
Polo 00 >
Lupo

MKV Gear shift and gaiter (not GTi - fits MKIV Polo and looks much better IMHO) £10

Image

Image

Set of 4 BBS RX II Split rims - Refurbished with shot blasted and powder coated gloss black centres and mirror polished rims (pics when I've finished putting them back together) £275 ovno

Refurbed as I have done before in the past http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 10&t=13624

1 x BBS RXII Split rim Centre - 4 x 100 15 inch (was a spare - no kerbing damage on face) £10 ono weighed in

Image

1 x BBS RXII Split rim centre - 4 x 100 16 inch (removed from a damaged rim but no kerbing damage on face ) £10 ono - weighed in

Image

Again if anyone has specific questions or wants detailed pictures just shout and I'll try to sort someting out

Whats in the thread above is all I have - nothing else Polo related

Oh and last thing I won't post big stuff like wheels, cyl heads etc - anything else maybe - depending on cost via a courier NOT Royal Mail

I'll give it a week or so before resorting to ebay

I've also just spotted a 195/45 15 tyre - that is almost brand new - £20 didn't check the brand

Just to be clear these coilovers were on a MKIV Polo the car for 2 to 3 years from memory (they were removed before I sold the car inorder to convert it back to std)

- The helper springs have a small amount of corrosion and paint lift but not too much

- The main springs are pretty good but not perfect

- The body of the coilovers have some very light surface corrosion but the threads are perfect and smooth and the height adjuster collars and locking wheels work smoothly on all from the bottom to the top of the coilover.

- The damper rods are unmarked (no pits or corrosion)

- The seals don't leak

- All the bump stops are as supplied (ie not cut down)

I noticed the nylocnuts aren't in perfect condition so I'll replace them all before shipping or collection for my own peice of mind

Postage isn't going to be cheap as they aren't the lightest thing about but I will weigh them and get a quote if required

HI Thanks for your reply regarding coilovers.

I have sent shocks & Springs before in the uk, Via Courier, i am happy to organise this if you wish, if you parcel them up, and let me know dimensions, ie, Width, Height, lenght, & Weight.

You say you are after £60 ono for the coilovers. If i organise the collection of this item, would you accept £50 via paypal??? I can sort this money to you via the weekend, and sort the courier to collect from an address, anytime next week. what ever is best for you??

thanks.

I won't charge for packaging and they will be very well packed however I won't send by normal post and £8.45 - Next day delivery by UPS - if you have a non residential address it's cheaper as UPS charge a fee for non business address delivery

Hi Connor

Right I really hate bay for selling stuff - too many idiots - it's fine for buying just awfull for selling - so I'd rather sell stuff to polo owners on here as I've had some good polo related items myself on here over the years so pay a little back to the community is my attitude

I did have a look at prices before I posted them on here

They aren't new best price I can find new is £160, so I offer them at £100 below new as perfectly servicable and fault free but cosmetically they aren't perfect but actually about the same price as cheap lowering springs......

Am I going to take another £10 off - probably not right now  Ask me in a week I might change my mind :D

Cheers
