painting bumpers

I'm in the process smothing my bumpers and I'm just wondering how much paint is needed to, prime, paint and laquer the bumpers? And what kind of paint would be best, aerosol or done with a spray gun?

i can getr it in volumes of 500ml would that be enough if i was to go down the spray gun method?
