The gti section is alive and kicking just the mk 5 and the lesser sections are so droll :-(. 3 years ago this was was livelier than most other forums just seems to have dropped down a bit, we need to revive it :-)

Don't get me wrong I wasn't slating it at all and apologies if it sounded like it.

Mine will be on the market very soon (booked in for an MOT tomorrow afternoon as it runs out in the next few months).

Shameless plug over! I know what you mean though, comapared to Club Polo the whole place is quiet, although there it's just full of pointless shouting and moaning!

im part of both forums and i prefer polo net for forum chat and progress thread and use club polo for its for sale section. Polo net is alot more peaceful than club polo with updates of intresting progress and people who are in intrested in looking after there car aswell as modifying it. I find club polo is more i bought wheels i bought coilovers iv got a ' your mum ' car sticker and then just arguements left right and centre :( but there both good forums i have seen threads on there that say polo nets 's**t ' and stuff which just proves the pointless arguements they have :)

Having been on here since 09 i have to admit the forum as a whole seems to have quietened down a fair bit. a lot of the regular posters such as Alex and Tim have moved on and Gti progress as a whole seems to have slowed a bit....

But Club Polo i cannot stand to be honest..

The cars are getting a lot older and rarer now (particularly the GTI's) so it's not really surprising that the forum is quieter than it once was.
I think it would be beneficial getting rid of some of the car sections now and integrating it all together so we can mix up all the models into one or two sections, it would not be as tidy but would certainly liven up everything.

The MK1, 2, 3 sections are dead these days and even the MK4 & 5 sections are usually quiet so I don’t think it would be a bad idea mixing them all up together (including the later models too). The MK6, 7 & 8 Section are quite active now so it makes sense to get them all put together.
If anybody thinks that might be a good idea then let me know and I will mention it to Josh and Alex

I think to keep the forum alive that's what needs to happen sonmany people have joined recently not had any response and left, the groups should be like you said

Mk 1,2,3 as there are still a few members and they are the earliest cars.

Mk 4,5 and GTi as the cars are all one and the same.

The 9n,9n3 and 6r should have their group

Yeah it may look messy or whatever but people will get more out of the forum and hopefully resurrect what I think is the best polo forum an in the future if more people join and groups
Become over crowded then they can be split again

Nice one I just think given its current state eventually it may fizzle out an there is a lot of knowledge here on this site and noone is pretentious or has an attitude problem unlike other forums.
