Anyone had these DTC's on there GTI? Problem solved!!!

Post by Gti1927 »

As the title says has anyone ever had these dtc's before as i've been told its because its been mapped but i would have thought it would of happend straight away after the map as its been over a month now since i've had it mapped.

16705 P0321 035
IGN/Distirbutor Eng speed Input circuit
Range/Performance
Intermittent

16395 P0011 035
A Camshaft Postion Sensor (Bank 1)
Timing Over-Advanced Or System Performance
Intermittent

It started yesturday would hesitate after 4000rpm as if it was losing fuel and then bring on the EPC light but it would power through.
Now today its doing it from as little as 1500/2000rpm and is as flat as a pancake.
If anyone could shed some light would be a great help. Cheers

its a revo map but i dont think it has anything to do with the map as i had this hesitation once before when i first got it back in september but it only happened twice and then never happend again. i think its a possible sensor going down.Ether crank cam or engine position sensor. i'm also led to belive tht the n205 valve which controls oil pressure for the timing chain for the cams are prone to fail. But i'm going to check these tommorow at work.

As i suspected nothing to do with the map was a faulty crank sensor! had the car on vas at work today and you could see the crank sensor droping off under load when it was on the scope. So i fitted a new sensor and its back to pulling like a train :D happy days!!!
