Polo 6N2 Clifford Matrix 1 remote central locking issue

Hi,

I have had my 6N2 for about a year now, came fitted with a Clifford Matrix 1 alarm and remote central locking however it never worked, the dash light never works, I have no clue on where to start in order to repair it. The sounder was already fitted. I have been using the standard central locking (it seems) since I bought it. Would be very grateful for some help in this, where to look for possible wiring issues etc.
