Freezing door handles...

Post by jimbo_tdi »

Is anybody else's front door handles freezing in the weather, I've tried, WD40 and Vaseline but they still freeze, right buggar in the morning to undo as they never really thaw until later in the day and if I lean on the door card the door will open! :( dangerous on my daily motorway commute!

I can't say i have had mine frozen up yet. Could you not pour some warm water on them?

I've tried mate, always pour luke walm water on the cars windows in the morning because of the G1 I've got applied, but it doesn't help with the door handles, it's only the front two though, the rear ones are fine... Didn't have a problem on my old 6R.

They lock on their own because of the anti-hijack but because the door handle won't open or close properly it will open with a little nudge and then unlock the door whilst doing so. In my 9N3 it had like a deadlock where if you opened the door handle once then it would unlock that door and if you opened the door handle again the door would happen, it doesn't do it with the 6R :(
