Hi all, was cleaning the wife's 2011 1.4 SEL this afternoon and noticed that the near side headlight bulb was out.
Strange thing is there was no bulb out warning on the dash which I'm pretty sure the Polos have ?
Removed the headlight and checked the bulb and it had definaltely blown with the insides of the glass black. Replaced the bulb and alls well, but just wondering why the bulb warning never came on ?
Anyone else have this glitch ?
Headlight bulb blown but no dash warning ?

I have a 1.4 sel and have had a sidelight blow but also no warning
Re: Headlight bulb blown but no dash warning ?
I had a headlight bulb blow with no dash warning either - I just put this down to the fact I had some number plate canbus LEDs fitted and that would screw the system!
Re: Headlight bulb blown but no dash warning ?
same issue here blown bulb no dash warning, i only got a warning light when i removed the bulb and plugged the chip back in an ran no bulb lmao so basically for it to tell you it's blown is if it magically disconnects itself lmao

Re: Headlight bulb blown but no dash warning ?
Seems very strange that the system is quite obviously there, but doesn't detect a blown bulb (which is surely what it's supposed to do ?).
Strangely (and rather annoyingly), when the wife first got the car, I fitted it with (what were supposed to be) CAN Bus friendly LED sidelights. The wife kept complaining that she kept getting a bulb error on the dash and so made me take them out. So it seems it will warn you if LED's are fitted where they shouldn't be, but don't tell you when a bulb has completely blown?
Might get the dealer to look at it when it's in for its service next month.
