Strange Starting Problem

Hi,

I've got a problem with my GTi that when the car is cold it starts fine, but when it's been driven for 5 minutes it takes 2- 3 times longer to turn over and start.

I have changed the coolent temp sensor as this seemed the most likely but I still have the same problem - all suggestions greatly recieved.

Was it a genuine sensor? Aftermarket sensors can be hit and miss sometimes!

Yep - fitted a genuine one to make sure of this.

Is there only a water temp sensor in the radiator or in block aswell on these?
