Hi Folks!!!!
Can you help?
My Polo sometimes won't start, even no lights on the dash. No starter turning nothing!! But if I move the auto gear stick back and forward a few times it comes to life and starts no problem. This is only every 5 out of 10 start ups.
Is there a sensor in the gearbox to tell it when it's in park or neutral? I'm sure this is the problem but don't know what I'm looking for?

There is a sensor that detects neutral - its likely thats what is causing your problem. I think its located either under the shifter, or on the gearbox side.
