How do you remove the 2 blank inserts on the steering wheel?

Does anybody know how to remove the 2 blank inserts on the steering wheel ?

if you are referring to where the mfsw buttons go then its
an airbag off job then two screws either side
to get the airbag off disconnect negative for 20 mins
then watch the start of this video http://youtu.be/ILxmWvg6atQ (phone link)
clip airbag back into place
connect negative
press the horn (stand out of the way) and hope it doesnt go off

If its the same as on mk5 golfs then not all the blanks can be removed, dsg cars or mfsw cars can have them removed manual non mfsw are solid plastic.

Worth checking before you remove your airbag.
