Rear brakes

Post by GTi_Red »

Anyone know if mk5 rear brakes fit on a gti 9n3?
They are 286mm solid discs
is there carriers to fit the polo that support golf calipers?
I know stud pattern is different but I don't think finding 5x100 286mm discs will be too hard

I'm thinking its more cosmetically pleasing that the 256venteds

If you want something a bit bigger than the 256 vented what about these? :D

could get the kit without the calipers as would be a lot cheaper to get the calipers yourself!!!

Lol 307mm on the rear its a bit massive lol

What about scooby 2 pots? That would look amazing 290mm discs and stop like nothing else with the 4 pots on the front

i know but would look epic :D

scobbys run with shoes inside the centre of the rear disc's like drums for the hand brake. you would need to run a another mechanical caliper for a handbrake which would be a bit of a pain but nothing a angle grinder and a hammer wouldn't sort haha! :D

aye loads of manufactures use that set up. could get the handbrake caliper from an R8 i think! been awhile since i worked on one though! Your best bet is to stick within the vag group unless your handy with the spanners and can frakenstien something but it normally more hasel than its worth :|
