Alloys - Opinions please?

Hi I've just bought myself some standard VW 14" alloys to upgrade from my 13" steelies.
They're far from special but they only cost me £60 for the lot and they came with some tyres (with decent tread!).
As you can see theyre a bit scuffed etc.. I don't want to spend a fortune on getting the professionally refurbed/painted because I'd just lose money.
Shall I keep them as they are, spray them myself black, or spray them myself silver?
If anyone else has any radical ideas feel free to tell me!
And obviously im gonna buy new centre caps !

You could easily flat down the scuffed sections, primer, two coats of silver/black, then two coats of lacquer yourself.

Will i need to scuff off the original paint or anything?

Yes - 400-600 wet and dry used dry to key the surface before primer

2 coats primer, flat with 800-1200, wash with fair liquid in water, dry for a day, then colour two coats, leave for a day then laquer two coats.
