Andy's 9n3 Polo GTI
So today I finally got insured on the polo, been sat in the garage since the 1st June as my previous insurers wouldn't let me swap the policy over early.
Bought it on 19k from a VW service department manager.

Done about 100 miles in it today and absolutely loved it. Massive step up from a 1.2 Corsa.
Over the course of it being sat there doing nothing I made a few small boring changes: pressed plates, 6R aerial, rear plate gti plate holder, newsouth boost gauge, painted the coolant cap, washer bottle cap, dipstick handle and wheel bolt covers satin black, replaced the centre caps and I'm in the process of replacing the bonnet poverty stick with the gas strut from the 9N.
Been to see a mate tonight to have a play around with vagcom, while I was there I took his old green cotton panel filter off his hands which I'll clean up tomorrow and get fitted
Cruise control fitted on thursday at vasstech and then future plans (when funds allow) are stage 1, tb exhaust and then maybe progress to stage 2.
Opinions/comments?

Re: Andy's 9n3 Polo GTI
cutting my pictures off which is annoying, anyone know how to fix it?
Re: Andy's 9n3 Polo GTI
Looks very nice! Especially in that colour . In regards to your pictures being cut short, you have to make sure that they don't exceed 800x600 as they'll have a bit missing.
Re: Andy's 9n3 Polo GTI
I love the colour, they must be pretty rare!
Re: Andy's 9n3 Polo GTI
Looks amazing, I always wanted a blue one but could never find a decent one! Looks to be mint, even the exhausts look like new
If you need a 007p for stage one, I have one that's about a year old

Awesome colour!
Re: Re: Andy's 9n3 Polo GTI
About £60 would be good enough for me, I've got a green and yellow spring too, so you can switch up as soon as you are running more powerandyc315 wrote:Was going to buy a 008 I thinkDom_ wrote:Looks amazing, I always wanted a blue one but could never find a decent one! Also got some Gulf DOT 5.1 brake fluid on the way from Opie Oils as it's due in January but want it doing before I head off to uni in a couple of weeks.

Update!
So yesterday I paid a visit to a friends house to get the springs and TIP fitted, with great success
I was only there about 4 hours thanks to my mates wealth of knowledge of this chassis! Without pissing about could have easily been done in 3
Here's the necessary comparison pic of old vs new TIP

Took a quick snap of the tiny k03s turbo while I was under the car, crazy to think you can squeeze over 250bhp from such a tiny turbo!

First thing this morning I went to check the tracking as I hadn't had it done since owning the car so wanted to make sure it was alright, especially after witnessing Dan smacking f*ck out of my front struts with hammer and chisel!

I'd also spotted this whilst lurking on Gumtree and snapped it up for a bargain of £10

Looks identical to the Seat Sport one but just re-branded so think I got a bit of a bargain! It got dropped straight off at Motorcool to be powdercoated gloss black and should have it back by Wednesday.
Then gave the car it's first wash since being insured on it over 2 weeks ago and went for some quick pictures afterwards since it was a nice day! I'm no pro but I tried my best with my phone

Spotted this clean Jetta on my way out

This also happened whilst I was busy getting lost around the airport roads

Really really happy with how it sits now, so much nicer than standard and I feel much more confident driving it hard now I actually feel connected to the road!
