Opinions on New-bee Flash red R-line with a few bits....

Post by Timbo220181 »

Just after a bit of direction being new to the world of the Polo....

Opted for the 1.2tsi for something that the mrs was comfortable driving - with the compromise being that I go to put a few toys and bits and bobs on it.

Looking for advice on where to perhaps re-map and if anyone does a decent exhaust system for it????

Obvious places seem to be Revo, Sedox for maps.... Milltek dont appear to have an exhaust system? anyone else put a turbo-back on one of these?

Help and comments welcome...

Thanks mate -

yeah only things on the list are the map and exhaust if it turns out to be worth it - don't seem to be many people about that have done it.....

Best bits of both, Rline kit with GTI grilles and wheels. (Just needs a GTI rear end.)

I must say I'm not a fan of the red R Line badge. Prefer the black one. But I am jealous of the sunroof. Mainly because it gives you half a black roof. Like a vinyl wrap effect

Sorry for the slow reply guys, been out of the country for a while...

It's sat on the H&R's the 35mm springs, almost opted for the super low, but this is more than adequate. Ride is firmer, much better handling and also livable... no bottoming out, still relatively comfortable and looks low enough for me.

Possible agree on the R badge - it's still a work in progress for now...

I'm after a Scirocco cluster as per the GTI...

Has anyone remapped on of these then? Who is best?

Cheers

I have mine mapped by big fish tuning. He didn't a good job on it! I've not got a printout as I lost it but it was running around 140bhp which is plenty for this car.

As for exhaust I went to a custom place and fitted a Eurosport backbox and middle silencer removed.

It pops a lot with the occasional bang.

Jay how did you go on getting it mapped? Awesome GTI said they couldn't do mine as it would blow up because there is no intercooler. Mines just an r line

Its been fine, i've had it on for almost 8 months now i think and its been perfect. Car is so much more responsive and you really feel the kick in every gear. There is an intercooler, its just build into the block located at the rear of the engine and is watercooled i believe. Its a very efficient system! The only thing i was told to lool out for is the coolant level.
