I just noticed this morning when im driving at a steady speed say 40mph...my speedo needle is jumping up and down slightly constantly... What could this problem be?

I dont see what spark plugs would have to do with this?
Mines a diesel anyway but the car itself is at steady speed.. Just the speedo rocking up and down

Excellent reply.
Is the speedo drive mechanical? I changed a fiesta speedo drive with the same symptoms years ago, it was a worm drive type thing attached to a cable.
I would imagine it's electronic these days but worth a look?

Try a new cluster. Thread is in wrong section by the way as this is the 6R section

Oops, username and avatar implied differently! But yeah I'm of the opinion it's the cluster. I retrofitted second hand Highline clocks to a car I used to own and they did exactly the same when the OEM clocks didn't, so can only assume that's where the fault lies.

thanks for the help..
i looked more into it...it only does it at lower speeds...
maybe i have a slightly buckled wheel causing it to do this?...is that possible?
I have a feeling it isnt software or the speedo itself......nevertheless always a possibility
