Was watching the match last nite and even though was hoping England would go through ... Portugal in my opinion were the better team on the night.

David James could not save his way out of a wet newspaper and he was utterly s**t last night - and what was the craic with the pitch?? Ahhh well, good on Portugal anyway, was a class match and I would've loved to have been there coz the atmosphere would've been mad!! 8) :D

I would've been st0ned out no doubt anyway with the police turning a blinde eye to fans smoking the good old herb!!

Good old England... the craic with the pitch was that it was laid on a sand base rather than the more tradional soil pitch like everywhere else in the world except maybe south america. So heavy use of the penalty area throughout the game (and the tournament) will of course lead to a knackered pitch! It was ****. And the ref was ****. And becks gave about 63% at best. Bah. :(

On the plus side maybe those dopey plastic England flags will no longer be an eyesore on the public highways - I only saw 2 on my way to work this morning :D
