Hi guys I got my lovely 2011 Polo 6R 1.2 Petrol last Tuesday. I am so chuffed with how it runs, such a nice drive even with a small 1.2 petrol engine it's got a little bit of bite about it!
I am basically making this topic to keep track of all the changes I make to my car, and give you guys the opportunity to see if you want and give me any suggestions of what I should do!
First thing I did was change the number plate lights from the standard yellowy bulbs to a nice bright white glow. The picture really doesn't do it enough justice but the new LED's are superb! Grabbed them for £2.45!
Next up I installed some Osram Night Breakers H7 dipped bean lights, and my they are wonderful, this took me about 10 minutes to install per light as you have to remove the whole headlight, but it's worth it, give such a brighter white, and a cheaper option to installing Xenon's, they cost me 18 quid for the pair of bulbs

Finally for today, some small little neat additions. First I got a little ticket for £2 holder just so I don't leave sticky marks from tickets. I also bought a nice little VW tax holder from eBay for £4. Also got a white key case to match Casper for £3!

Looks good! Do they still light up the road in the same way as the standard bulbs? I had some Phillips ones a while back and thought they were dangerous at times! What's your opinion on these?
Yes they light up the road better than the standard, with a purer white tone! But no they are far from dangerous, as they are not extreme and blinding, they just give a crisper bright glow!
Yes sadly I still have the yellowish sidelights in however I have ordered some led white ones, and they should be with me this week, Ill post the new lights as soon as I fit them

I did it on my 62 reg Fiesta and it was a right pain - there was a small white clip that pretty much snapped every time I took the unit out.
I hoping to do this to my polo come July.

Its not to bad I was bait scarred at first as I have never done something like this before, but its just two torx screws, and the torn screwdriver is just in your safety kit in your boot, once you unscrew those two screws you just unplug the cable from the back and give it a good pull and it should come out, it's really worth it for a quick upgrade to this lights. Ill have to do it all over again this week to upgrade my H7 Full Beam Lights to another set of osrams and to install the LED sidelights
Haven't fitted the LED sidelights yet but managed to grab these rubber mat fittings for £8. Decent grab and also glow in the dark, look superb at night.
