JOM Coilovers Rears NOT-SYMETRICAL 9N3

Post by Max9N3 »

Hi it's been a few weeks since I fitted my rear coilovers to my car.. They are wound down they full way.. I have driven with them in for a few weeks now and today I had the front coilovers fitted by a mechanic at my local garage.. I asked him to lower them so that the sills were level..

Later today I noticed that my rear coilovers have a large difference in the wheel arch gap. (Drivers side is the lowest of the two)

Was wondering if anyone knows what might of caused this sudden change..

Thanks

As far as I can see the fronts still have the same amount of thread left and both wheel arches sit the same height from the tyre.. It just the backs where the drivers side is much lower..

Cars are not the same weight on all 4 corners, so it's quite likely each corner will need different adjustment. Check out something called corner weighting, go the full hog and have them adjusted with you in the driving seat...though the brand 'JOM' is quite probably not going to help here, every review I've seen of this brand (and other similarly priced cheap setups) is not the best...
