Recently traded in my Audi A4 for a more eco-car. My first VW vehicle (technically). Polo 6R 2011 reg.
It's a great little car for a 1.2cc engine if I must admit.
DONE Anyway, I was looking into changing the license plate bulbs to LED ones. I don't it blue or anything (like you see in Chinese ones usually), I prefer the BMW-OEM white. It's more 'clean' imo, which I prefer. My Polo is black. The problem is, I don't know which to get and from where. I know VW do some OEM ones, but I read even they aren't always error-free proof. I really don't want to dish out more money for more kit just to get LEDs on. Can someone please link me to a couple of LEDs they have recently purchased and works without hassle?
I am also looking to replace the map light cluster but I read there's some problem with it being on at all times even when car locked, although at a lower brightness. I've already changed the lights you get under those sun shades things which I got from Halfords.
Another thing, I was potentially looking to change the alloys/wheels on this car. It's currently a 15" one and I'd like it bigger, but since I've done nothing like this before, I'd have no idea what sort of size will be safe until I'd have to lower the suspension or something, which I don't really want to do. But depends, I may, just a little.
Just throwing this out, I also would like to change the tail lamps as I think they look too basic. The front looks badass enough for me though.
I'm a total newbie at customizing cars, but I'd have to start somewhere.
