Just the oil issue which you should know about by now If you're researching.
Other than that a great car. Make sure you have a decent warranty with it and I'd probably avoid buying private unless you want to buy mine off me in March if I decide to sell.

what is the best way to look after it trying to avoid oil issue??
i would like to lower it , which i have seen on Ebay the H&R springs 25/40.
leave the standard monza diamond cut alloys on will i need to do anything else apart from lowering?

Not sure there's much you can do to reduce the issue if you have it. 2013 and later cars are better. Some say that driving in D all the time at low revs amplifies the consumption but S is a little too revvy for consistent use so you'lll have to go Manual although to be fair I've not see any difference.
Mine drinks a little oil, which is to be expected with a twin charged car but a lot less than some of the horror stories reported with older models.
With respect to lowering, it does make the car look better but seriously affects the handling in my opinion. I've grounded out twice on large speed bumps and also on my drive when going in a little too fast and I'm on stock suspension, so lowering is definitely not for me.
I think I'd save up and go for air rather than lowering springs but then it's all down to personal choice and circumstance.

In my experience (now on my third engine!), hornmeister is right to say that the oil consumption problem, if you have it, is made worse by driving at low revs. Worst of all is coasting down a hill - you'll often then create a cloud of black smoke when you accelerate again at the bottom.
I believe 2013 models onwards with the CTHE engine have much fewer problems than the earlier CAVE ones - mine is from mid-2012 and I think I just missed the newer one. As a quick, but not guaranteed check, you could look at the exhausts. There's been so much soot and smoke out the back of mine you would never know the pipes were chrome once upon a time. If the car has nice shiny pipes, it might be a good one!
On the bright side though, stick the car into sport mode, and it's really good fun, so if you get a good one you're onto a winner!
