Delphi RCD510 "speed dependent volume control"

Post by LeeT96 »

I read the manual which says 'put slider all the way to the left to turn off' and I have done so but my music still adjusts itself when I'm driving, I have a sub/amp fitted to my car which worked great with my RCD310; but I feel like I have a wasted Sub in my car now because it just turns down. Like if I turn it all the way up it will go really loud for a few seconds then dampen down. Is there anyway to stop this? I like the look of the RCD510 but I prefer good music.

I would want say that I no have solutions for everything and also I wrong... I'm really scared Image
The most difficult thing I think is solve car problems of others user with barely information. Sometimes, the solution is a matter of luck.
Thank you for reading

Having said this:

In the following link, read in page 9, Accepting settings
http://www.davecandoit.com/Cars/vw/RCD510Manual.pdf
In combination with volume settings. Press button----Volume--->volume settings.

I think it is possible to set to "0" with vcds in Adaptation (NO SURE). In Radio Address 56, you will need to go channel by channel until you find the correct channel or see if it is included in the drop-down panel (top of the dialog box), I can not remember what channel it was (channel 8 :?: ). Placing the pointer over "up/down" to change value a balloon with possible configurations will appear. Set to "0".

In my rns these features work like a charm.

Edit------------------------

In the hidden menu RCD 510 (press more than 20 sec SETUP button) TESTMODE----> in SOUND you can make adjustments to SDV. Also in RNS 510.

Adjustments SDV:

RNS510/RCD510--press setup--test sevice mode--you keep pressing-- test mode--select sound--sound test mode--setup-- sdv setup:
Now you have two options:
-Select the speed at which you want to start automatically adjust the volume.
-Also the interval to go doing new changes in the volume.
