VW Boavista 17" Alloys - What Colour ?
Hi All
Newbie here. I recently bought a 1.2 TSI as a run around and I surprised how much I like the car. I'll be doing plenty of performance mods next month but this month I'm sorting out the alloys.
I'm currently running mallory 16 ' s from the rline but I'm having a set of Boavista 17s professionally refurbed tomorrow at Wheel works in Crawley.
My car is pepper grey so I was going to go for a matt black or antharite but I'm having second thoughts and may go for a slightly darker silver (steel) than standard.
Any thoughts or advice ?
Cheers
Rob

Nice, I opted for Matt black eventually. If I don't like them I can always sell them or get them refinished.
Got new rubber all round and I'm going to lower the front by 25 mm rear by 40mm and space 10mm on each corner before I refit the wheels.
I'll take pic when the first stage of my project is finished. PDC / OPS retro fit the following week and rline rear bumper. oh and a celtic tunning remap and forge induction kit. I've been busy.

I think wheels should set off the paintwork by contrasting with it, not matching it. Silver/white rims on a black car, anthracite/black rims on a white car.chrispy. wrote:Im feeling black just because I have a Black Polo..

Silver Boavista's on any colour Polo look the dogs balls. Black Boavista's just look wrong IMO. Probably because the spokes are so fat.
Besides, the amount of 18 year olds riding about in 1.0 Corsa "Special Editions" with black wheels have turned turned Black into a very unclassy choice for wheel colour.

This. Especially when so many of them are obviously just the stock wheels that have been attacked with a rattle can...Wolfi wrote:Besides, the amount of 18 year olds riding about in 1.0 Corsa "Special Editions" with black wheels have turned turned Black into a very unclassy choice for wheel colour.

This, plus they also look as if you just can't be arsed to clean off the brake dust.Wolfi wrote:Besides, the amount of 18 year olds riding about in 1.0 Corsa "Special Editions" with black wheels have turned turned Black into a very unclassy choice for wheel colour.

Ok, so this may cause a bit of a talking point but my wheels are back and now on the car. I quite like them personally and coincedentally they match my surf van.

Matt Black finish, professional refurbed by WheelWorks in Crawley. They've done an excellent job and also fitted new tyres all round.

They don't look too bad actually as they're on a grey car. (Black on white is chavvy IMO)
But, it needs LOWS!!!!

Must be a small camera since it takes such small pictures.
