Hi
Anyone seen this airbag fault before ? It came up yesterday after removing the airbag. Battery was disconntected for a while prior to removal.
9437211 - Igniter for Driver's Airbag
B1000 1B [137] - Resistance Too High
MIL ON - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 00000001
Fault Priority: 2
Fault Frequency: 1
Mileage: 64185 km
Date: 2042.14.08
Time: 10:35:10
Fault won't clear. I'm told this fault can clear by it's self once you've driven the vehicle for a while.
Any ideas ?
Rob

Re: 6R Airbag Fault
Hi All
For those who are interested I've managed to fix this issue. Took a while to find out what the fault really ment as know one seem to have a comprehensive answer.
So 'Resistance too high' basically means the airbag isn't connected, and 'resistance too low' means there's a short or the airbag has a fault.
My 'resistance t0o high' fault was cause by a pin that had bent back in the connector to the slip ring / stalks.
All fixed now and fault cleared.
I can drive safely once more !
