Polo BlueGT 6C Rear Bumper

Post by BOAK »

So after less than a week of owning my 64 plate, Polo BlueGT 6C, I managed to accidentally reverse into another vehicle. I've created a pretty large dint, and two cracks in the rear bumper. Does anyone have an idea how much this is going to cost to fix?

Thanks!

Let's see a pic !

If you have a friendly body shop probably around the £200 mark. I bought a beaten up rline bumper of eBay. My local body shop repaired all the cracks and holes and re - sprayed for £200. I have no idea of that's good or not but looks like new.

Most places will say they have to respray the whole bumper.

Also try auto restore and chips away as they will quote off a pic and it will atleast give you an idea of costs (although they are expensive)

Does the BlueGT not come with parking sensors as stock where you bought it? It does in Denmark. They have saved my (and my Polo's) ass a few times.

I think they're optional in the UK, like many other of the things we seem to get as standard equipment here on the Continent. The Brits get a really rough deal, because their BGT is a lot more expensive to begin with, yet they still have to pay extra for the front arm rest, airbag deactivation, automatic A/C, light&sight pack, electric mirrors, rear tinted windows...

They are nowhere as expensive as here in Denmark. We have a close to 200% tax on cars...

Do any of you know where I would be able to purchase a new rear bumper? I've been looking around online but can seem to find any OEM for the BlueGT.

Also does the BlueGT share the same rear bumper with the GTI AND the R-Line?
Thanks!

The R-Line is a normal bumper with a piece glued underneath it.

The GTI and BlueGT share the same bumpers. (and bonus info: The sideskirts are from the Bluemotion in case you ever need a new one of those  )
