Interior roof lights

Post by TheFrog »

The interior roof lights are pretty yellow and I'd like to swap them for some nice bright white LEDs. I would also like to retain the 'fade out' feature of the original bulbs.

Has anyone done this mod and, if so, can you post a link to the appropriate bulbs (eBay, AliExpress...)?

TIA :)

I have just updated mine only last week. eBay - search for 'LED-Mafia', a guy/ company from germany supplies the kits for lots of different cars, I have been very impressed.

you can use a "LED warning canceller" to overcome canbus error but not sure if you'll be able to retain the "fade out" feature. Also I guess adding a canceller will make LED consume as much power as a regular bulb would, again i am not an expert on this.

try philips or osram if available in your region -

VW part no. N0177234
10w Festoon x 1 Qty. (Skip this part no. if your vehicle has a different lamp)

VW part no. N0177535
5w W5W x 2 or 3 Qty. (depending on the model)

I bought this package:

Works perfect: Very bright light, No errors, Fade out still works etc.
