During the winter weather.. Ive noticed when going over speed bumps, my front left shock will make a squeaking noise.
When the weather warms up, it stops.
Would anyone agree its just dry from the cold weather? Or is it something for severe..
Thanks

Re: Front shock squeak
I had this same thing on a 2012 fiesta, still no idea what it was or could have been - i took it into a garage and they couldnt find anything either.. strange one
Re: Front shock squeak
Mine does this all the time aswell. Only had car since november so cant comment on warmer weather having any difference. Really annoying though. As long as its nothing major im ignoring it tbh
Front shock squeak
Comforting knowing its not just my car.
For the record, i said its Shock Absorber, it might not be, could well be dry bushes or wishbone .. Anything.
Would be nice to know what it is though

Re: Front shock squeak
Try lubricating the top mounts under the scuttle panel, some WD40 should get in well.
Be warned, it sometimes makes the squeak worse, but at least you know it's that if so.
Other culprits could be ARB mounts, drop links or wishbone bushes as mentioned. If it has been jacked up carelessly at some point, the wishbone rubbers sometimes tear letting in water/grit/salt etc.
