and how do i take out the interior bulb frame bit? do i just get the good old flat head srew driver and pull it out?

Got a Polo 6N2 2000 and I wanna change the number plate and interior lights and put in some blue ones. Was looking online and saw I need some C5W bulbs or Festoon bulbs(not sure if its spelt that way). But when i looked to buy some they had a choice of 36mm, 39mm and 42mm, does anyone which mm i need?
