Jacking points on Blue GT

Hi all,

When I eventually get my new Blue GT at the end of April I will be taking the wheels off to protect them with Carbon Collective Platinum Wheels.

Need your help with where to place the jack and axle stands as I've never done it before. How/where do I put the axle stands, is there enough space to place jack and axle stand together?

Sorry to sound so useless but don't want to damage the car doing this. Pics of jacking point would be great!

It you want to lift on the panels (where there isn't room for much more than the stock scissorjack which comes with the car) there are two cutouts on the underside of the sideskirts where they are.

I have installed Audi rubber mounting points in the chassisrails running under tha car. That way you can allways be sure that you are lifting in the correct spot.

They are very easy to install.

Yes, there are cut-outs along the side skirts of the BGT, but they are pretty small. I managed to take the rear wheels off to install spacers, but there's like 1mm clearance between the jack and the side skirt, so you need to be very careful.

I got them from an OEM parts dealer here in Denmark.

Sure you can... I just can't read all of the part number on this picture...

I've just checked what I bought and fitted many years ago:- from Audi jack pads 8N0-804-583 and 8N0-803-855 4-off of each required. I find most DIYer trolley jacks "cup" fits over these perfectly. I have no idea of current cost, though I must remember to recover them before buying a newer Polo for wife, I can probably still find where I stored the hard plastic covers that these replace!
