Problem with touch screen stereo

Hello all

Ive had my Blue GT for a couple of weeks now and Im really enjoying it. The other night I noticed that the Touch screen was stuck on the 'welcome to Volkswagen' screen and wouldn't show what was playing and I couldn't access the on board computer or the radio from the buttons. This was before I went to the gym, when I had finished training I came back to the car and started it up and the problem rectified itself, today it has happened again. Has anyone else experienced this or similar?

Not quite the same but once, so far, when reversing the camera image has not appeared instead there is a message park pilot not available. I'm also finding that the interior lights sometimes decide not to switch off. A good talking to has no effect but opening and closing the passenger door sorts it out.

Staring my driving career in cars with magnetos and manual ignition and mixture controls I'm staring to wonder if cars have become too smart for their own good. I've rebuilt and modified cars for more years than I care to remember but I'm still trying to identify the purpose of various boxes and gizmos under the bonnet. No doubt the next step will be sealed bonnets and wi fi ECUs where the first sign of trouble will be the cars telling you it's booked an appointment for a good seeing to at the main dealer.

Ah, magnetos, I seem to remember being on the receiving side of "just hold on to this lead a minute while I try to start it" - might explain my hair style!
