polo gti clutch issues

Post by chris7star »

Hi all hope someone can help with this. Long story short fitted a new engine to my polo gti 2006 as cams seized, fitted all back together and now can't get any gears with engine running. I've changed slave cylinder as was sat on my drive for nearly 2yrs and broke the nipple when bleeding. Any how's I've now bought two sach clutch kits and neither will fit although both correct part numbers . The original clutch is a luk kit, is there a compatibility issue with brands to fit the dmf. Cheers

It won't fit as too big by about 4mm give or take and the plate is even bigger. As said tho for some strange reason its the same unit as the last company supplied me listed for the gti

Looks to be all sorted now. Think Sachs clutches must be listed wrong as collected a 3rd unit today but this time a Luk kit and all looks ok
