Dump/blow off valve. Any good?

Thinking about getting one recently.. I understand it doesn't increase the BHP output unless it comes with a bumper sticker..

Anyone got one? Is it annoying after a while? Is it worth getting? Which one do you have or suggest?

Iv got the froge one. Love it myself but I know its not everyone's taste. Went for black and polished valve so it looks more oem under the bonnet

I had 2, thought I'd miss the noise so that's why I got it the second time however in the end it just sounds silly to me.

My thoughts exactly, however the forge ones for the polo do sound quiet compared to ones off Fast & Furious films

Just looking at ways to improve the sound of my car - sounds abit gravely..

High flow performance air filter first then maybe a valve

It's worth noting that VW engines use a recirculating valve rather than a dump valve. If you use a dump valve as a replacement you ECU is going to get upset when it can it accurately meter the air. This is because it accounts for recirculated air and without that air making it back to the intake your engine is going to over fuel.

Iv had no issues with fuel with mine on with induction kit aswell. Just the tuning box giving me issues
