1.6 ibiza gear box in my 1.4 6N2?????

I need a new gear box for my 1.4 8V MPI 6n2, my friend has a 1.6 seat ibiza and will give me the gear box, but how will i know if it will fit

, or does anyone know if this defiantly will not work?

Ibiza and polo were very similar, however the polo never came with a 1.6 engine so it probably wont fit

What year is the ibiza and what code is the gearbox? Also what engine code is it

Hello, The Ibiza is a 2000 model. My friend doesn't know the code for the gear box. I could get him to get the engine code im sure,

I have a gearbox removed from a 1.4 16v should fit the 8v if your interested only difference will probably be the ratios
