Morning chaps,
I want to install some footwell lights... ive done this before but had them wired to the interior light so they came on when you opened the door. I've wired my puddle lights in my doors to this...
But for the footwell lights i want them to come on when i put my headlights on... so i've thought of wiring them to the red light that is in the center console behind the cup holder
Has anyone done this?
Also, if you have, do your lights fade when you change the brightness of your dash?
Thanks
Joshers

Re: Footwell lights
Yes you could do that. My advice is to take the blue/grey wire in the rotary light switch connector. Be aware that dimming is perfectly do-able with halogen. But some LEDs are not capable of dimming. Instead of dimming they start to flicker.
So the plus comes from the light switch, grey/blue
The mass goes simply to a mass point (i.e. brown wire in light switch)
