abs sensor
abs sensor
Hi guys, i just had my wheel alignment done in a garage and my abs light has been on for past 4 months, i bought a new abs sensor but never got round to getting it fitted yet, however when the car was getting wheel alignment done the lad saw the light was on and told me that the cable for abs was frayed + chaffed, how would i go about fixing this? can i just get a new cable or what? thanks alot!

Re: abs sensor
This isnt uncommon. If the wire comes unclipped it can end up rubbing on the wheel
The wire isnt available seperately - youll have to pop to your local scrapyard and salvage a new abs cable and cut it off on the engine side of the loom, then do the same on your car and heat shrink crimp the new sensor onto your loom
Ive had to do it twice, and this way works successfully.
