Scriv's 6n2 GTI
Hi all.. thought I would get a thread of my car on here! Brought this a few months ago for a decent price! It's done 140K..
It's a good standard example, gearbox seems ok so far fingers crossed but the clutch is going so that will be changed soon!
This is how I brought it
First thing was to change the headlights back to OEM! Found a burnt out plug so used this as my excuse to buy some headlights:)
That was it for a while apart from keeping it clean and MOT.. I then wanted to sort the wheels and get it looking better. So a trip to the powder coaters was done!
Also brought a set of Toyo proxies and some coilovers.
So got the wheels fitted and gave it a good clean and this is how it looks now..
I've ordered a few little touches for it and will be fitting them soon. I'm really torn on plans for the car, I'd really like to keep it OEM+ looking but I'm unsure on whether to push what power I can from the original engine or save for a 1.8T
Conversion.. I just want more power and then going to get it handling and stopping well!

I then had a ballast go on one of my headlights so used this as an excuse to get rid of the black for OEM ones again!

Re: Scriv's 6n2 GTI
I paid £700 for it about 4/6 months ago.. there are some real bargains out there at the moment for the 6n2 GTI'S. I'm probably going to keep this for years now and just garage it when I get a new car, just got a feeling they will start going up in value soon!

i looked at one - £600, wasn't in the best nick but passable. I would have been tempted if it was in the same condition as yours.

Mine isn't completely mint.. got a little scuff on the back bumper and the front bumper needs a respray. Going to try and get them both done once the weathers better
