I was speaking to VW HQ today.

I can confirm that - as far as VW UK know - an R36 is "definately not coming" (their words). MK5 R32, yes - but R36, no. The rumour about an R32 coming in first, then being replaced with an R36 is false.

ahh bugger!!! would love to see that in production. whats the mk5's stats then? is it the same engine as the mk4 R32, but hopefully tweaked, and is that the same kit the 3.2 will have? i like it, i like it ALOT!
