was driving along the road, jst about to pull on2 a dual carridgeway, when i noticed my speedo dying. As ive currently got an ignition problem i thought it was something to do with this but all the rest of the guages are working fine. Ive recently changed my clocks but the only 1 i kept form the old set as the speedo to keep the milage correct.
Ive tried playing about with the clocks but cant manage to get any sort of reading.
Can any1 suggest wot might cause this?

It wont be an ignition problem as the speedo is driven by a cable from the gearbox. Methinks you might need a new cable...

Don't know if yours did this but mine clicks when i'm driving along (u can hardly hear it) know its speedo as the clicking sound speeds up and slows down with car.

Piece of cake to change. Remove steering wheel, remove clocks, disconnect speedo from clocks (pull

), trace cable to gearbox, unscrew nut, trace cable to bulkhead, mk3's screw in, mk2's just go through a rubber bung. Pull cable through into engine bay, reverse procedure with new cable.
Hope it helps

u can do it just without removing the steering wheel

Well, yes, but it's a complete pain and very fiddly to do it with the steering wheel on, and it only takes a couple of seconds to remove it. That's how I do it, anyway
