VW OEM Plug & play subwoofer + amplifier for stock speakers

Hi i have a 2013 1.2 Tdi polo Match edition the music in there is not too bad but you always want something more, so i looked into subwoofers and also amplifiers for the stock speakers as far as moding goes i would want to keep everything oem or at least as far as i can So i found this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Original-Subwo ... B00NUYQV9W it a subwoofer with a 5 chanel amplifier 1 for the the two mini subs and 4 for the stock speakers in the car so i went to my local volkswagen center and they said that it costs 415£ fitted from them or the same price if i just want to buy the sub and fit it myself, wich would mean i need to get a programing donlge to change the presets in the current head unit i have wich is RCD310 so i though maybe other people have done it and can share the expriences of What kind of Sound improvement they achieved did the actual sound volume increase? at the maximum output is the sound cleaner? also how hard is it to fit it by myself because as far as i read its not really plug and play as you have to get the lead from the subwoofer to back of the head unit? please share your experiances any help is apreciated.

BTW if the post is in wrong place mods please just move it im a newbie here also i am aware that here is a similar system http://www.volkswagen-accessories.com/e ... ystem.html wich is completly the same, but you loose the spear wheel wich i do not want to loose so if you got that installed or installed it yourself please share experiances as the subs and amps in it are all the same so the sound quality should be similar.

I'm not sure about many of your questions. One thing that I do know, is that still the speakers will deform still the sound a lot more at higher volumes. This is not due to the amplifier but due to the speakers and how you set up the software equalizer. It will not be better, it will not be worse with the sound system.

Well the main thing i want to know is it actually worth the 310£ does it enhance the sound and if it does is it worth the money and also is it hard to fit by myself how long would it take? As well why do you think it will be worse did you have any past experiances?

I have a 2010 Polo Highline and I have changed all of my original speakers with aftermarket speakers. But before that I have changed head unit to aftermarket unit with navi, USB, DVD, etc. Cost of all of this was about 430€(cca. 210€ for the headunit and 220€ for the speakers) including fitment. I also have a subwoofer in the boot. The sound without the subwoofer running is so much better than original speakers with original head unit(I previously had RCD310), bass is more punchy, higher tones are much clearer, etc. The subwoofer in the boot just adds feeling across the whole car(more than 1kW of RMS).
So if you ask me, I would change the head unit for something aftermarket(you can get cheap china radio for about 160€ from aliexpress-which plays great and has a lot of functions) and change all 6 of the speakers. Maybe you can take the head unit with Wi-Fi and a lot of other features. I have a head unit with CANBUS, navigation system, 2 USB ports, DVD player, plays videos from USB, etc...

Hi thanks for the reply that dosent seem like a bad idea i might consider it altough it means il have to do it myself wich i have never done, but i am not too scared about as electronics are not a big enemy for me, anyway thanks for the reply it would be nice to get some more opinions maybe even from people that bought the spare whell helix sub or the one i am thinking of buying just to see what kind of improvement they achieved
