Polo dashboard blackener?

Post by coffee_king »

Hey guys
Ive got some wear on my dashboard that I'd like to get back looking nice and new again (Polishing is only making things worse)
What are folks using on their dashboard to bring back the black/re-blacken?

That looks like polish in the grain, try a degreaser with a toothbrush first

If it's just this small patch then Armourall do a matt finish dressing or have a look in your food cupboard to see if you have any peanut butter (smooth) as the oils bring black plastics back to looking new :)

I use Poorboys Natural to maintain the factory matt finish. Avoid all household cleaners because they are not good on plastics, especially dark colours. I have even started using Poorboys on dark plastics around the house - telephones, speakers, toilet seats. And before you ask, no you don't slide off :D

I'd give it a scrub with some diluted all purpose cleaner then use a trim dressing on it . I like Obsession Wax Nero personally, but there are loads to choose from.

I use this product from VW:

Works very well - I think :-)
