Just ordered a polo gti

Post by Grizzlydean »

So ive just ordered my gti today, bog standard model in black.
I'll be going the finance root, £1000 deposit and 10k miles a year at £279 a month, is this a good deal or no?

Thanks in advanced

Not sure how this compares but mine is:
3dr Flat black, Manual, Nav, Sport pack, convenience pack and winter pack, 2k deposit on 10k miles and my repayments are £244 per month. used car wow and got a total of 3k off at Haywards Heath (Carwow deal from vw in Ashford but Haywards Heath matched it)

Seems about right then, as there taking my old 6n2 gti in for 1k deposit. Mines going to be black 3 door.
Does anyone know if you can actually modify them or does it void the contracts?

Seems a bit expensive to me personally, as I had approx £1500 of packs added but if you're happy that's all that matters.

I'd imagine you're not supposed to touch them at the very least until halfway through the contract as it's not your car until that point technically speaking. At least that's what I've read, does it stop people? Wouldn't have thought si

Personally I would recommend getting the sport pack, only £250 or so but its well worth it.

I did consider the sports pack, but i dont want to deal with fake engine noise. Asked if i can have the fake noise disabled but they wouldn't do it

I actually like the fake engine noise, makes the car sound more burbly and grumble where the normal engine makes no sound, I doubt anyone would ever know the sound was fake if they were not told before hand, plus the car feels too soft/ wobbly in normal mode driving fast.

I have been in many other hatches that do have the fake sound but the vw group sound actuator offers the most "real" fake sound compared to other cars where they pump it in through the speakers.

250 for the sport pack is cheap but it's not even worth it ... I would avoid getting it and spend your 250 else where I have 1 with the sport pack one without

As someone that has used their car on track a few times i would definately recommend the sports pack. Can't imagine driving on track without it to be honest. Road driving i normally turn it off but its so, so worth it.

Also as someone without cruise and climate control i would recommend those as i have found myself wanting those two features at times.
