Tyre pressure warning on 6C GTi...

... works very well. Even my missus who refuses to do anything to the car recognized something needed attention!

First warning was to check tyre pressures, which I did and reinflated all the tyres, noting the rear left seemed slightly lower than the others. 6 days later the warning came up again and identified the rear left specifically. A quick trip to the garage revealed a nail in the tread (fixable luckily) and all was well again.

Probably saved the tyre, which still has 7 mm on it after 11,000 miles. The fronts are down to 5mm and 4mm. So probably another 4 or 5k for the fronts and forever for the rears at that rate. Bridgestone Potenza S001's.

Thanks for that PB, nobody wants a puncture but is comforting to know that the system does what it says on the tin. I can recall many instances over the years where such a device would have saved me a lot of money not to mention grief.
