final drive ratios

boring question:

what's the difference in the final drive ratio's between the late 16v models and the early 16v / 8v models? My bird's car revs far less @ 70mph, I'm guessing the 16v is about 3.6, hers is 3.1 or something like that, judging by rpm.

Any takers?
