OK, thanks for the replies.
Re: QUINTON HAZELL Front Wheel Bearing Kit QWB512
Update,
I had ordered the QH bearings before Alex managed to reply.
The QH bearings have arrived and are not brand marked so could be anything.
I'm sure if they are fitted straight they'll outlast the car anyway.

That means they are probably a very cheap aftermarket repackage then
Personally i wouldnt use them and would send them back knowing how frequently unmarked parts fail, but the choice is of course yours![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Well, the chinese bearings are pressed in.
Is there a trick to getting the bottom of the strut off and back on the ball joint stud, struggled for ages last night.

Put a large flat head screwdriver in the gap, hammer it in to widen the gap and itll be alot easier
Re: QUINTON HAZELL Front Wheel Bearing Kit QWB512
I have released the taper not the 3 bolts.

Re: QUINTON HAZELL Front Wheel Bearing Kit QWB512
Yeah thats right. Its just the taper, then a screwdriver in the gap
Re: QUINTON HAZELL Front Wheel Bearing Kit QWB512
Not quite with you.
Once the taper was released I had a big tyre lever in there to open it up but it went so far then the stud went sideways jammed up and started to munch the thread.
I remember doing this on a 405 with a big tube through the lower wishbone and someone standing on the tube to force the wishbone down. But the 6N2 lower wishbone/arm aint got much to lever on.
Maybe I can clamp a bit of timber to the bottom of it.

Re: QUINTON HAZELL Front Wheel Bearing Kit QWB512
I probably couldn't if I had one.
What I need is to improv. this:
eBay item number: 201543790453
GARAGE TOOL PUSH DOWN SUSPENSION
QUALITY PRODUCT SUPPLIED BY CLARKSON TOOLS
· The wishbone extractor tool is for pushing down the wishbone and other suspension parts for example during the disassembly of the drive shaft or during the replacement or exchange of the wheel bearing.
· After loosening the ball joint the wishbone must in most cases be pushed down against the bush or stabiliser tension in order to pull the joint from the support.
· PROBLEMS THAT OCCUR HERE
· The joint wedges again in the cone after it was pressed down only briefly with a tyre lever· The ball joint or gaiter gets damaged, the mechanic injures himself or damages suspension parts when the tyre lever slips away.
G-clamps, blocks of wood & metal bar duly missapropriated and in my car.
