6r engine conversion
I'm looking for help with an engine conversion on my 2012 polo 6r I've just bought a 1.8 20v turbo to be put in but am unsure of the work needed has anyone undertaken this before
Re: 6r engine conversion
This seems a lot of work to end up with less power than a standard Polo GTi, I'm guessing that's why you haven't had much of a response but I could be wrong.

I'd think that you are correct there, sorry to the OP, nice idea but you would end up with maybe an uninsurable - at a reasonable price car that no one would ever buy from you when you moved on.
Too many years ago, I've been there, thought about it for a while and just bought another car when the time was right.

A 1.8T 20V is an old engine that runs on old tech now for a car like the 6R
It would be a huge amount of work to get it work
