Auto Locking on drive away
I have a 2016 GTI and I want the doors to auto lock when I drive off.
The stealer has just told me this is not possible if it isn't in my settings already.
Is this true?

Pretty sure this is in the setup menu on the radio. It is on my 2016 SEL.

Re: Auto Locking on drive away
VCDS will let you do this, so maybe try to find a VCDS owner local to you who would be willing to make that change for you for a small amount of money. Most VAG forums do tend to support this sort of activity and you can see where your local VCDS owner is and contact them. I think that I wrote my version of a guide to doing that.

Simple to do with vcds cable or OBDEleven.
Under Central Electrics-Adaptation-Access Control, activate these three options.
(3)-automatisches Verriegeln bei Geschwindigkeit
(4)-automatisches Entriegeln
(18-Menuesteuerung ZV Autolock-Unlock

Re: Auto Locking on drive away
My VW dealer have said they don't have the ability to customise functions in this way, only look at fault codes etc. They suggested finding someone with an aftermarket setup.
Wow.
So - is there any interest in a database of folks who have the stuff, to do stuff?
I'm in South Bucks and I want my doors to lock automatically when I drive off. Happy to pay the going rate. (whatever that is)

Hi fivelittlefish
I have a genuine VCDS cable, not too far from Bucks I can code the auto lock/unlock and other tweaks for a small fee.
PM me for further information.
