Back in the Polo Fold!

Post by Gee40 »

First of all just wanted to wish all fellow Polo owners a happy Christmas

2 weeks ago today I ago picked up a 3 month old 6C GTI in Red with 30 miles on the clock and have to say I'm thrilled with it. After a run of 3 BMWs that included a 330d coupe and a 125d I was concerned that I would miss the low down torque, but despite the fact that I'm taking it easy until its run in, the car's performance is excellent, in particular the handling.

Many years ago I owned a G40 and thought I had seen the last exciting Polo, but having driven the 6C for the last 2 weeks I have to say that is the best kept secret since the G40 in the early 90s. I'm lucky enough to have a near pristine Mk1 Golf GTI that only comes out in summer, but now I've got the Polo, the decision as to which car to take out for blast on a sunny day may not be so clear.

Looking forward to many hours and miles in the 6C in 2017 and beyond :D

Welcome

The G40 was a beast of a car in its day. I had a 1.3 Genesis with some GT parts and that was great fun
